Widely known in the U.S., Mexico, and Central America, El Rey is taking the world by storm! El Rey, known as "The King" of peppers is a widely adapted, mid-early, high yielding jalapeno pepper, suited for either the fresh market or for processing. On a recent promotional tour, El Rey was spotted producing a heavy load of large, pungent, thick walled fruit on a compact plant. El Rey is one hot pepper. "He's really spicy!" said one Mexican Food lover. Insiders asked him why he's so popular in major pepper producing areas.
