Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, University of Florida, IFAS, Bradenton

    Rick received a BS in agriculture from the University of Florida, majoring in ornamental horticulture, where he was a member of the 1975 flower judging team.  He has over 25 years of research experience in entomology and plant pathology.  Rick will use this experience as he develops a comprehensive trial system that will better serve the needs of the growers, landscapers, breeders and homeowners.

Joyce Jones

Senior Ag Technician II - Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, University of Florida, IFAS, Bradenton

    Joyce has many years of experience in ornamental and vegetable crop production, and is an experienced farm equipment operator.  This experience, coupled with her excellent work ethic, leadership and desire to learn, makes her an indispensable member of the trials team.  Joyce has shown a willingness to go above and beyond what is expected of her. 

 
Joyce's husband, Rudy, and her sons, Michael and Benjamin, were proud to know that Joyce is one of the recipients of the Superior Accomplishment Award for 2002.

Brent K. Harbaugh

Professor - Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, University of Florida, IFAS, Bradenton

     Brent conducts research to develop advanced cultural systems and technologies on new and existing floricultural crops, and his latest efforts have been centered on the development of new cultivars of lisianthus with heat tolerance and disease resistance.  For m`ore details visit this site: Brent Harbaugh. Brent has acted as a mentor to Rick Kelly, the trials coordinator.

Brent is one of the UF faculty members who received  the Superior Accomplishment Award for 2003.  Read more: News

Zhanao Deng

Assistant Professor - Gulf Coast Research and Education Center, University of Florida, IFAS, Bradenton

    Zhanao is a plant breeder whose research focuses on the development of new varieties of caladium and gerbera daisies. The trials research operates under his program.  For more details, visit this site: Zhanao Deng.
