Common Names: known as one of the hyssops, but distinct from true hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis).  Annual Agastache, Mexican Bee Balm, New Mexico Hummingbird Mint.

Common plant pest problems: arthropods such as insects, mites and pill bugs; gastropods such as slugs and snails; plant diseases such as fungus, bacteria and virus.

 Insects/other: whitefly adults were found on this plant, but no symptoms affecting the quality of the plant were observed.  Plant bugs and Verticillium wilt have been observed on other species (Ayers, G. S. and M. Widrlechner. The Other Side of Beekeeping.  Michigan State University Dept. of Entomology).
Disease: mildews and rusts.
