2004 Trial Crops Ready for the Field

|
Here are some of the crops planted in this season's trial. Click on the thumbnails to view larger pictures. Crops are grown in Speedling trays in a mix without starter fertilizer. Plants are fertilized twice a week with a low phosphate balanced liquid fertilizer to produce excellent compact plugs. Crops destined for full sun are placed on the trailers in advance of planting to harden plugs for the field. Very few pests have been encountered in our plug production because of good IPM practices and greenhouse sanitation. |
