Winter/early spring 2001-2002 variety trail at the Gulf Coast Research Center, Bradenton, Florida.  Pansies and violas were trailed against best-of-class selections made during the 2000-2001 winter/early spring trial.  Best-of-class selections were made for the first time for dianthus and snapdragons during this test.  The trials are conducted in two fields like the one above.  One field is scouted for pests and spayed as needed; the other field receives no pesticide.
